42nd Street Planning Permission Granted

We have successfully gained planning permission to transform a redundant brownfield site, and former 42nd Street pub, on Whitley Bay seafront into luxury apartments. The scheme is providing much needed additional housing in an area that has undergone tremendous growth and regeneration in recent years.

The site which was previously the 42nd Street public house, a local nightlife spot, will now be occupied by nineteen two or three-bed apartments, each boasting a balcony with sea views, or internal private courtyard gardens.

Our team have worked hard to curate an appropriate scheme that responds well to the context, sitting comfortably alongside the larger scaled buildings on the seafront promenade, whilst stepping down in scale to meet the traditional two storey terraced buildings which run perpendicular to it.

A huge well done to the Gradon team!
