Ogden Centre wins RIBA NE Award

The Ogden Centre for Fundamental Physics at Durham University wins RIBA NE Award.

Part of Durham University, the building is home of the Institute for Computational Cosmology, one of the world’s premier theoretical cosmology groups and the only Institute for Particle Physics Phenomenology globally.

Working with Design Architects, Studio Daniel Libeskind and Main Contractor Interserve, we are delighted to have assisted in the design, coordination and delivery of the complex external envelope through use of a fully integrated BIM Level 2 model, ensuring the successful complicated interplay of colliding geometric interfaces between steel, timber and curtain walling.

Technical Director Graeme Kirkley said, “We are delighted with this success for Architects Daniel Libeskind and Main Contractor Interserve. For us to have played a role in a significant and challenging part of the delivery is a proud and satisfying achievement for us.”
