Maidstone Project submitted for Planning

Following an extensive pre-planning consultation period with Maidstone Council and local residents, detailed plans have been submitted on behalf of Peker Holdings for a mixed use residential development comprising of 162 apartments with leisure and community spaces, ancillary services, parking and landscaped recreational areas.

Coupled with the adjacent development site, the 15 storey tower will provide one of the new landmark pieces to the gateway into Maidstone town centre off the Royal Engineers Road.

Managing Director, Graham McDarby said

“Developed on the site of the former Kent County Council Springfield Library site which has been derelict for a number of years, the brownfield 0.5 hectare site is developed to its full commercial potential, while responding to the constraints of the existing site, positively turning constraints, such as the extensive and mature tree belt to the east, into unique selling points for the site. Our designs have been informed through extensive consultation and are a collaboration between the local authority and our design teams in Derry and Gateshead.”
