Realised as part of an overall mixed use masterplan proposal for Sedgefield in Durham, this residential component accommodates a phased development of up to 250 new homes, residential care facilities and extensive and integrated green open space provision. Situated at the edge of the historical town centre, consideration is given to the existing urban context, transport integration, pedestrian linkages into the existing community and new facilities as well as respecting the existing ecology. Good Practice is adopted through the use of Building for Life and Secure by Design principles.
